Review | MAC X Mariah Carey 'My Mimi'

Me being the highlighter junkie that I am of course I had to add My Mimi from the MAC X Mariah Carey collex to the stash.  What can I say?  Glow is life.

It's a really pretty bronze gold color.  If you're following me on IG or snap you would already know I'm not completely sold on this bad boy.  To be honest I was anticipating more of a true gold color.  Not gonna lie though I'm not really a bronze highlighter kind of girl so I guess you can't completely blame the highlighter.

And can we please talk about the formula?  Not impressed.  At all.  It's very powdery and not as pigmented as I thought it would be.  I've worn it a few times already and I had to use an excessive amount and it still didn't reach my desired intensity.  And that's with using my new boo thang, Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water by the way so that's kind of saying something.

I don't know.  I guess I was just expecting much more since I've heard so many amazing things about their extra dimension skin finishes.  I'm not trying to be a complete negative Nancy though so I totally applaud MAC for being one of the few brands catering to darker beauties.  And the packaging is on point.  So there's that.


PS word on the street is we have a dupe!  And it's only five bucks.  Even better.
