It's no secret I'm all about full on cake face lately.
So today's post features those products I turn to literally every time full on glam is in need. My everyday essentials
Tarte X MakeupShayla Contour Palette
I love this palette you guys. Oh em gee. I'm still using the lightest shade to carefully carve out my still nonexistent cheekbones. It's super pigmented, blends beautifully and smells like chocolate. Umm yes please! (Full post HERE)
Wet N' Wild Setting Spray
One of the keys to having flawless makeup is a setting spray. I use this one for everything. Highlight. Eyeshadow. Set my face. Everything! To stay fresh and look less cakey I spritz my face about a dozen times and it brings life back to the skin. And it's super cheap. I love it.
ColourPop Brow Pencil
I'm still using my favorite brow pencil from ColourPop except in the shade Black N' Brown now. It's a great alternative to the infamous ABH brow wiz. It's extremely affordable and I love how super easy it is to use. My brows look really natural in no time. (Full post HERE)
Makeup Forever Camouflage Cream Palette
I love using the orange shade as a color corrector. I don't always remember to use this in my makeup routine but when I do it makes such a huge difference. I'll just pop it on whatever discoloration I'm having for the day, apply foundation on top and blend away. Plus the palette in general is so ideal for darker beauties as you can customize the concealers to match your skin tone.
Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara
Mascara is always necessary. To be honest I'm still only using this cause I (still) haven't found my way to the drugstore but I really do love it. I definitely see a difference when I don't use it. It gets the job done.
Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
Another key to flawless makeup is using a primer. I make sure to apply this every single time I wear makeup as it instantly smooths out any imperfections on the skin and helps a full face last all day acting as a base.
Ben Nye Banana Powder
The only baking I'm doing these days is carving out my contour. I'll just pack this on right under my contour, let it sit for a few minutes and voila! Hello the most defined contour ever. PS if you haven't tried this technique yet then seriously what are you waiting for?! I promise you'll love it.
ABH Stick Foundation
My new go to for sure. I still haven't completely decided which shade matches me better (Amber or Cool Golden) so for now I'm sticking to Amber. It matches my skin tone perfectly, provides light to medium coverage but is still build able and manages to not look cakey at all but very natural and skin like. I've also been using this as concealer for my dark circles. Works like a charm. I freaking love it. (Full post HERE)
MAC Sunbasque blusher
This has been my go to blush for months now I can not get enough. MAC claims it to be a peach with pearl shimmer but I find it leans much more on the nude side with just a hint of red shimmer on my skin tone. Making it the perfect every day nude blush for brown girls. It pairs well with any look. I looooove it. (Full post HERE)
Of course I'm incorporating some type of lip and highlight in as well but those differ on a daily basis. What are your go to everyday products? I hope you had a fab weekend and am enjoying my #everydayDecember series.
