A MAC Viva Glam Rihanna drugstore dupe

Another day another drugstore MAC dupe found in my (no longer growing..for now *WINK*) lipstick collection. Yep, that's right you heard me. My lippie obsession is yet again coming to a standstill (tear!!).

Anyway, I was rearranging my collection for the 1239585 time, (as you do) and stumbled on my first lippie purchase ever. To my surprise it's the perfect dupe for MAC's Viva Glam Rihanna! Enter Poppy-Sicle from Victoria's Secret. Yes, you heard me. Victoria's freaking Secret. Who would've thunk it?!



I actually remember rocking this drugstore beauty alllll of the time. I guess you could say it officially started the "obsession" you see today. It's not MAC quality (duh) but don't get it twisted it does an amazing job at such an affordable price. In fact Viva Glam Rihanna and Poppy-Sicle are so similar in tone and dead on in texture that I could barely tell a difference when swatched on the lips. Both are beautiful, bold red lipsticks with hints of glitter but Viva Glam Rihanna is just a tad more pigmented. Poppy-Sicle is very buildable though.

For the price you actually get such amazing high quality. Me being the lipstick feign and Rihanna junkie that I am, of course I absolutely needed Viva Glam Rihanna in my life. I'm all for donating to a good cause but if you can't justify the higher price tag or are a beauty on a budget, let's be honest, Poppy-Sicle is the way to go.



As I'm writing this I've actually found yet another dupe in my collection. (sigghhh. I honestly thought I avoided buying doubles. Oh well. *shrugs*) So stay tuned for that! I hope you had an amazing day and have an even more amazing week. It's hump day! Smileee. <3
