Happy Saturday! Since I'm in the Holiday spirit I decided to share with you some of my newest lippie purchases and new obsessions going into Christmas Day. It's no secret that I'm a complete sucker for beautiful, bold lipstick with fabulous packaging. There's just something about a daring, all-eyes-on-me lip color that I just can't resist. It makes me feel sexy, sophisticated, chic and glamorous all at the same time all while taking a makeup look to a whole new level on it's own. I absolutely love it. To kick off the series I wanted to start with Black Dahlia from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. A gorgeous deep burgundy with a matte finish.

I've been wanting to venture to the brand for a very long time now and can't believe I finally got my hands on one. (Thank you Glossybox!) It is so pigmented, long lasting and oh so mysterious. To be honest I have a love-hate relationship with Black Dahlia. I found it to be more of a semi matte than matte so appears much too glossy and wet on the lips. A look I'm not too fond of. It's also extremely difficult to achieve full color payoff without streaking. But the color is stunning and makes my lips appear really full and you can build it to your desired wear.
