It's been quite some time since I've had the urge to purchase a new M.A.C product. Honestly, nothing has caught my attention lately. That is, not until the long awaited limited edition M.A.C X The Simpsons collection was finally released. Nothing like new, exciting M.A.C launches to get a girl going! Of course I had to pick something up. ;) 
No M.A.C purchase is complete without getting at least one lip product, so I decided to give one of the lip glosses a go. I picked up Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy. It is a gorgeous bright fuchsia lipglass with purple shimmers. I'm normally not a gloss girl (and haven't been for years) but decided there was no way I was missing out on this one.
The color is beyond beautiful! Absolutely perfect since I'm still having a love affair with purple lipsticks. And the outer packaging is beyond fabulous! But like almost every beauty blogger, vlogger and guru, I think the actual packaging of the glass is seriously lacking. I can't help but feel like a little girl playing with plastic makeup. M.A.C could've taken it so much further. However, Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy applies without difficulty and is easily buildable, something I love. It does leave a very sticky, tacky feeling on the lips though. Which is the norm for any lip gloss, just something I must get used to. It kind of reminds me of M.A.Cs limited edition Goddess of the Sea lippie (which by the way, the winner has already been contacted. Thank you all for entering my giveaway. I officially started venturing into the makeup world of blushers a bit ago and also decided Pink Sprinkles was a must to the collection. It's another gorgeous baby pink color and this - I truly love!
I was extremely nervous it wouldn't be pigmented enough for my skin tone but it looks absolutely amazing on! Very natural looking and extremely buildable. And I absolutely adore Marge's face engraved in the blush! Again, the packaging is definitely lacking but for whatever reason it doesn't bother me as much. I guess it's the pop of yellow?
I'm so happy I was able to get my hands on both of these beauties and will definitely be rocking them tons. Now just waiting for the new Viva Glam Rihanna 2 lippie. Hehe. ;) What did you pick up from the #MACandMarge collection? Until next time, toodles.
